SWEDESBORO, NEW JERSEY (MARCH 17, 2015) Infinity LTL Engineered Compounds, a global manufacturer of custom compounded engineered thermoplastics, will reveal that it has constructed a clean compounding site at its Swedesboro, New Jersey, plant during NPE2015: The International Plastics Showcase, from March 23–27, in booth S24027. Completed for customers in the medical device industry, the manufacturing area will make compounds for applications with stringent quality requirements.

“Our new, clean compounding site will feature a completely controlled manufacturing environment,” said Tim Carroll, vice president for Infinity LTL. “This new manufacturing space was requested by our medical customers. It will enable us to better serve our critical OEMs in the healthcare industry.”

Offering capacity for any color-coded application used in operating rooms, the clean compounding site is ideal for applications including:

  • medical instrument housings
  • laparoscopic instruments
  • endoscopic instruments

The recently completed manufacturing site includes an extruder and auxiliary equipment with a capacity of 1.5 million pounds per year. The 5,000-square-foot area can be easily expanded and additional equipment can be added based on customer needs.
